The BLT's

(Here's our press release.)

Your Friendly Neighborhood Lo-Fi Swing Band

Not sure what that means? We don't blame you. But what would you think about a band that is fronted by a guy with a silky smooth, crooner style, voice, and a ukulele, then backed up by a stand up bass, and nailed down tight by a guy with a cardboard box!? Reminiscent of the 30’s and 40’s style “swing rhythms” and “boogie woogie back beats” The BLTs are bringing back that butt bouncing, foot taping, and good time sound!!

Lance (the crooner) Barker, is a part-time instructor at Feather River College in digital media, lists his main musical influence as ‘Ukulele Ike’. Barney (the bassman) Harchis, a live recording audio engineer for the High Sierra Music Festival, Strawberry Music festival and Telluride Bluegrass Festival might be best known for his hit radio show “LIVE FROM THE ARCHIVE” on KHGQ. Tony (the boxman) Alhino, who has a degree in technical theater from U.C.S.C. freely admits that he stole the Idea of beating up on a cardboard box from Buddy Holly and The Crickets. You might have seen him playing with “The Hair Farmers” or “Half Grass” or “Johnie Walker and the Hangover” maybe even with the “Fish Taco Band”

THE BLT’s ARE GOOD TIME MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT, WITH INFECTIOUS RHYTHMS, HUMOROUS LYRICS AND A MUST SEE STAGE PRESENCE!! Look for them on the cover of rolling stone soon!
